Where are those crabs?
My name is Kim Bessinger and I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a dachshund in my life. However, 28 years ago, I decided on a standard longhair dachshund and would have begun showing then, but circumstances prevented me from doing that. However, my dream came true and I began showing my long hair dachshunds about twelve years ago and along the way I have met some amazing people. However, there are two people who have been more than generous with their time, knowledge, and advice. They are Katherine Legacy and Kaye Middler.
I initially met Katherine several years ago when a chance email to a person no longer breeding dachshunds directed me to her. From the first time we corresponded and subsequently met, I have learned so much from her. She has become a very good friend (and mentor), along with her husband. They are wonderful and generous people. Then, through Katherine, I met Kaye Middler.
Kaye is a wonderfully honest person and I needed that. Whenever I have a question, she is always willing to give me a call. Her knowledge of dachshunds and their pedigrees is amazing. I could talk to her for hours (and sometimes do) just trying to soak up her knowledge. Kaye has also become a good friend and mentor. I very much appreciate the support she’s always given me.
Thank you to all those who have helped me along the way. A special thanks go to Katherine and Kaye, who take time out of their busy lives to help and guide me.
